Nic Smith, Inventor of CoolBoard, speaking at Careers In The Outdoors 2011
Nic Smith describes himself as creative, scientific, left-handed and dyslexic. This blend has always led to solving problems with highly functional and stylish solutions.
His formal training was in aeronautical engineering but, disillusioned with an office career he became a cabinet maker. He invented Coolboard originally as a solution to improve his surfing ability on the waves without getting wet every weekend.
Find out how he has developed this original outdoor adventure product into a business that helps people develop all kinds of skills and personal fitness goals. Hear the story of an inventor who developed a product and then grew a small business from startup to sales growth.
This presentation was filmed by OutdoorStaff.TV at The Outdoors Show on Saturday 15th Jan 2011.
